Giclee on canvas fine art print  .

A limited edition run of 500 is available of each original . They are numbered and signed by the artist and come with a certificate of authenticity . Printed on Epson premier art water resistant canvas with ultra chrome K3 pigment inks . All prints are coated with Bulldog Ultra gloss UV finish . A gallery wrap style is used , where a mid range color is pulled from the piece and printed in a 1.5 inch border around the image . This allows for frameless display when stretched on a wide stretcher bar .

Giclee  fine art Reproductions

The beauty of the Giclée printing process is its stunning accuracy. None of the subtlety of the  originals is lost and all of the texture and technique of the originals are retained.

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") fine art prints have the look and feel of an original piece of art. Because no screens are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs. The extraordinarily fine spray of ink delivers more than four million droplets per second. Each droplet is about the size of a red blood cell, resulting in the appearance of a continuous-tone print. The Process applies archival inks directly onto canvas sheet , after which a UV protective coating is applied  . The canvas is then stretched over a wood frame and a coat of lacquer applied to give it a gloss finish and better protection from the elements .

Giclee reproductions are the new standard in the art world. They have been shown at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, The Los Angeles County Museum, The British Museum and many others.

Handling and Care

There is ongoing research into the lightfastness of the inks used in the printing process but latest research shows that with normal use, the prints should last 100 years. Please see http://www.wilhelm-research.com for further information. I would suggest that you treat each print the way you would treat an original. That way, you can't go wrong. (No direct sunlight, care with fingerprints, etc.

Gallery Wrap

all our prints are done in a style called a gallery wrap . A mid rang color is taken from the painting and printed as a 1.5 inch border around the image . When strteched over a thick stretcher bar these prints look fantastic with or without a frame .

All of our prints are signed and numbered by the artist and come with a certificate of authenticity .
